Was bummed when I missed Daniel's opening NIN set, but this is a lovely consolation prize. Here's hoping we get a few more of the songs he made for that tour! <3
"A previously unreleased track of mine called Tremor is also now up on the Bandcamp page and available for zero pounds or whatever you’d like to pay for it. Speaking of Cortini, it was Alessandro who originally showed the other members of Nine Inch Nails my music, eventually leading to me touring with the band and the Jesus & Mary Chain across America in 2018. Both acts mean so much to me and, to fit the occasion, I created my first live show to open the rooms. Tremor was one of the new tracks I made and I’m proud to share it here today for the first time." – Daniel Avery
Mogwai, best band ever, known them since young team times and impressed with every album so far.
Seen them 3(?) times live in 3 different countries and missed them in pukkelpop in 1998. This set gives me the chills and reminds me of the gig at the Sse hydro in Glasgow. Don’t believe the Fife, Helicon 1 , Rano pano and Every country’s sun are my favourites. Mogwai gave a new meaning to loud, this goes through your spine and makes you smile (with pain later). jsheaven
Connan Mockasin, Erol Alkan, and Daniel Avery are just a few names that turn up on this hour-plus comp from Phantasy Sound. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 9, 2020
Dense, moody sounds from this Bulgarian artist that imagine long voyages in underground grottos, shadowy & mysterious. Bandcamp New & Notable May 7, 2021
A masterpiece within an already very impressive discography. My favorite track is Insect Near Piha Beach, but for some reason I couldn’t select it! Vik Srinivasan
